Free & Flowy

Loving everything about Free People Fall right now. I've basically been living in this beautiful burgundy maxi dress. The floral embroidering is just incredible... I can't get over it. This is one of those dresses that I will definitely hold onto forever. Can't wait to layer it up in the spring time. For no I paired it with my Otte NYC hat and Modern Vice boots. Simple and great for transitioning into Fall.

New Adventures

 Happy Monday! It's another busy week for me... As I mentioned before I have some exciting changes in my life that I am so excited to share with you all. This past two weeks I left my 9 to 5 day job for an exciting new venture in the freelance world. Amongst these new adventures is a part-time position as a community manager for a new app, yet to be released, called Cabin (more on this very soon!) and another part-time position a few days a week at Nylon magazine in their marketing department! So much to be thankful for right now and I am so happy to bring you all on my new adventures. Of course being freelance I will have even more time to focus on this blog, which will always be one of my number 1 passions. 

Change is good... very very good.

You Are My Sunshine

Can you believe mid-August has already approached? I cannot believe how fast this summer has gone by so far. Basically I am soaking up as much of the summer sun as I can. Here I chose bright accessories to liven up this dreamy cream dress. Anyway, today is my best friend's last day in the city and I took the day off work, so we plan on spending the day adventuring as much as we can! A beach day at Coney Island is most likely in the works.

Two Gals From Texas

Say hello once more to one of my bestest friends, Kelley! She is in town again from Texas and I couldn't be any more happy about it. Our days have been full of laughs and adventures. She's only here for a few more days, so we plan on spending our time to the fullest!

When the sun goes down

Went on a spur-of-the-moment evening adventure to Coney Island the other night. We rode The Cyclone, aka the oldest roller coaster in America, roamed around the boardwalk, and of course ate a hot dog at Nathan's. Coney is such an odd yet picturesque place... couldn't help but snap a few photos.

Kitties on my skirt and I am a happy gal. It's only Monday and I am already over-whelmed with work for this week. Took these photos yesterday on a stroll to get frozen yogurt with Justin yesterday in the East Village on a lazy Sunday that seems many moons ago from today.

It's a lazy sunday morning and this is the current state of my bedroom. Listening to music, watching random shows, and cozying up under the covers. I'll force myself to get up soon, but for now I am perfectly content with the state that I am in.

Flower child

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, these are the beautiful wild flowers I picked up from the farmers market. I immediately had to go meet friends after in SoHo and had no time to go home and put them in water, so they sort of became my accessory for the day. A passerby even referred to me as a "flower princess" whatever that means. Anyway, hope you all are having a lovely day!

NYC // Summer at the Farmer's Market

One of my favorite things to do on a saturday in NYC is hit up the Union Square farmer's market. In the summertime you will find fresh peaches, berries galore, beautiful bouquets and the ripest local produce around. Wandered around the market yesterday and snapped a few photos for some color inspiration. Of course I couldn't leave without picking up a bouquet of wildflowers. Carried them around the city all day looking like a true flower child.
